Guest lecture on Marine and Health Insurance

M.S. College of Law successfully organized two insightful guest lectures on the topic of insurance on 9th April, starting from 10:30 a.m. onwards in the college auditorium. The sessions were conducted for the students of B.A. LL.B. and LL.B., aiming to enhance their understanding of practical aspects of insurance law.The First lecture was conducted by Mr. Mohan Das on the topic of Marine Insurance. He explained the fundamentals of marine insurance, including types of marine policies, risk coverage, and the legal principles governing maritime trade and insurance contracts. His session helped students understand the complexities of international trade and the role of insurance in mitigating risks associated with marine transport.The Second lecture focused on Health Insurance and was delivered by Advocate Santosh Shukla, a distinguished legal professional in the field. He elaborated on the concept of health insurance, its legal framework, policy structures, and the rights and obligations of both insurers and insured individuals. The session also highlighted recent developments and challenges in health insurance claims, providing students with practical insights into real-world legal issues.Both sessions were highly informative and interactive, with students actively participating and engaging in discussions. The lectures provided valuable exposure beyond the academic curriculum and helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.The event was well-organized and proved to be a great learning experience for all attendees.
